Jade Kai
Jade Kai is a mixed white & African American writer and educator studying Black, trans, and queer of color feminism, gender and colonialism, and LGBTQ+ practices of care. Kai is a PhD Candidate at Stony Brook University in the department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. They hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies from Syracuse University.
Kai has a background in advocacy, outreach, organizing, and education. Kai was born and raised in New York City on the ancestral land of the Lenape, Merrick, Canarsie, Rockaway, Matinecock, and Haudenosaunee peoples.
